Dan Tatham

CEO, Design

Dan is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded multiple technology businesses, the most successful being  Bycast Inc, a company that grew from modest offices in Squamish to 80 employees in Vancouver, selling in 2010 to Silicon Valley’s NetAPP. 

As a healthtech innovator, he recognizes some of the challenges in finding and developing the right product market solution fit. Learning from his previous venture, Yahm Systems, a startup focused on developing a online solution for the assessment and treatment of back pain, lessons on effective integration of technical, clinical, social and business processes, and, that success comes with the right timing, a lot of patience and a little luck. Assembling the right team is key.

Throughout Dan’s career he has worn multiple hats - designer, builder, project manager, new company innovator/founder. His training in design (Bachelor of Industrial Design), experience and qualifications LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) in building design, and, experience in exhibit design and project management (international expositions Vanc BC, Australia, Spain) provide a solid foundation for developing innovation.

Dan is a long time yoga practitioner, holds 300 YTT (yoga teacher) and 500 hour RYT (yoga therapist) designation, and is an instructor in New Back Active Therapy.

Warren Woodford


Warren has 40 years of experience in US and international business, technology, and product development as an inventor, founder, entrepreneur, manager, designer, developer, architect, engineer.

As a consultant to major healthcare and accounting firms - he was engaged as  Principal Architect for a $80M IT modernization program at BCBSNC (Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina); managed the client relationship and delivered mission critical auditing and assurance productivity tools under an Ernst & Young master contract; developed compliance and management tools for Bay Area healthcare orgs including Kaiser South San Francisco, El Camino Healthcare, Catholic Healthcare West.

He is well regarded amongst technologists for having created MEPIS, a LINUX Operating System  

Some of his many projects include developing an app which allows sports organizations to monitor athlete activities, designing a battlefield workstation, designing satellite ground stations, writing a 250,000 word electronic thesaurus, and creating the first stable Java debugger. He was also successful as a Java developer and a NeXT developer.

Paul W. Gallant, CHE, PhD(c), MHK, BRec (TR)


Paul is a trusted British Columbia health leader and Certified Health Executive, living in Vancouver. His experience includes 26 years in the BC health sector working with many BC health authorities, academic institutions, ministries, professional associations and NGOs, including Divisions of Family Practice. Paul’s roles have included: operations leader acute care (chronic pain, reproductive psychiatry, eating disorders, outpatient psychiatry), specialist consultant in project leadership/needs assessments/privacy, clinician, department head, and educator with skills leading health care teams, strategic initiatives, health professionals, organizations, networks, educational and clinical programs. Paul is a recognized expert in stakeholder engagement, business development and needs/opportunity assessments. He has also led a privacy review for a large academic institution in collaboration with BC health authorities.  

Paul is a champion for improving the patient experience, patient-provider-family engagement, and innovation that supports better information, communication, quality of life, and publicly delivered health care. He has presented, chaired or moderated more than 50 conference sessions throughout Canada and internationally. You will often hear him speak or moderate sessions on topics such as: sustainability, patient experience, quality improvement, mental health, leadership and technology.

In 2014 Paul awarded a Distinguished Service Award by his peers in the Canadian College of Health Leaders, BC Lower Mainland Chapter, which he now Chairs. Paul has served in numerous other community and professional organizations. He has lived experience as a person with chronic headaches and illness and is committed to improving solutions for patients, health providers and the public. When he’s not at work you’ll likely find Paul biking the seawall, swimming in the ocean or enjoying nature.

As Principal of Gallant HealthWorks and Associates, Paul leverages his networks, skills and relationships for successful client focused solutions, that include Journil. Journil is working in collaboration with Gallant HealthWorks, a vendor on record with Health Shared Service BC, Doctors of BC (A GP for Me), and two BC Ministries.
